may most colorful

Still at it. I love how the overall color vibe shifts when each new round is added. *It is just enough to get me around it, one more time. * repeat from * No end in sight.

Borscht with the works: cold beet soup with a boiled potato, hard boiled egg, diced red onion, plain greek yogurt and a bit of parsley.*Prepare, admire, eat for lunch* Repeat from *  at least 2-3 times per week.
and, why, yes, that is a Mason Dixon Knitting warshrag, knit by Kay herself. Are you wondering what it's like to hang with Kay while working on your photo skills? Yeah, I thought you were. Join me in Southampton NY on July 9th and find out . Info here.
Gaia shawl in Taiyo. Almost done. Noro..Loving it.
Strawberry-apple-kale-ginger juice. While looking for my gardening tools in the basement , I came across a juicer I'd snagged at a tag sale and never used.  Norma's juice lists  earlier this year and how they appealed in a really odd way popped into my brain... now, we're all smitten. Yo, yarn companies: juiced kale could be a colorway.Neighborhood Cinco de Mayo potluck. We had the tables on her lawn till a downpour forced us up on the porch...But it passed, so we spread back out on the lawn.
And had this for our view.
What colors are rocking your boat?

Where can I find the stitch pattern for that monster granny square? It looks like an ordinary one until you get up close and see those rows of little stitches in between each round of color. . .

Elizabeth- and anyone else curious-- its called The Chocolate Box square in Jan Eaton's 200 Crochet Blocks (she shows it with brown between the rows). Its a variant of the basic granny square, with every other round *single crochet , chain 3* which makes the double crochet 3x chain 1 rounds line up instead of being offset.
(I'm not an accomplished crocheter at all , as revealed in that little instructional) The book is pretty awesome, you won't be sorry if you get it.

I bought that book for the colors and showing variations especially. I spotted the chocolate box and wondered if that was your inspiration. I may break down and crochet a baby blanket. I did actually learn to crochet about a zillion years ago.

You know I always love red and it's May's Project Spectrum color so I'm happy. Also, I want to live in your neighborhood.

Wow, Gale, that is one glorious afgan! And the borscht is so perfectly set off by the turquoise washcloth and orange fiesta bowl! Love your photos as always! Thanks for sharing them with us.

Wow! What a great and colorful post!!! LOVE the afghan, LOVE the shawl, LOVE that you guys (far from Mexico) celebrate Cinco de Mayo more than we do in Los Angeles!

My knockout color combo that always amazes me: Aqua & Red with some light pink thrown into the mix!

I know what happened to the rest of that rainbow in your last picture - you snitched it for the afghan and borscht...

Blue is my rockin color of the moment, it comes on every summer, paired with white. It sure doesn't feel summery yet, but maybe if I wear a lot of blue it will come. Borscht, mmmm, I need some now.

What fabulous, fabulous colours! (I can't crochet, but I'm going to have to learn.)

I'm going for orange...

The granny is so great.

And thanks for a glimpse of my warshrag, which reminded me that all the ones in the drawer are now officially colorless and holey. Maybe summer 2011 beach knitting will be all warshrags.

Beautiful colors - helping me balance all the naturals and neutrals going on in my spinning world. But some of those naturals - watch for the Suffolk that is coming up in the line up soon, an incredible dove grey.

And that granny just completely rocks. I love that even with all the colors, your palette is such that it is cheerful but doesn't sear the eyeballs.

I love it all, especially the fabulous blanket! Also very envious of weather good enough for outdoor entertaining!
