Roma

With blocking, my Roma shawl is just what I wanted. I made the smaller version, it's about 48" across the top and 36" on the other two sides.
I'm not sure if that adds up precisely in geometry but it works for me.
Still loving the colors, except when it creeps into my consciousness that I could wear it to a Minnesota Vikings game with impunity.  Yarn and pattern info in my last post.
My slightly insane participatory project, at Rhinebeck, in my next. Check back in a couple of days, OK?

It looks a little less vikings like in the finished state, really. And it is odd that we have such synchronicity of problems! Hope your building inspector shows up and the knitting inspector doesn't.

I live with a big sports fan (and am one myself, really) so I am always careful not to get too "team-colory" lest someone thinks I'm rooting for the wrong team. I did not even think Vikings when I saw your shawl. :)

I know nothing about team colors and the Vikings do not come to mind. All I see is how beautiful the shawl is and how nice it looks on you! Enjoy wearing it!

Lovely shawl. I really like that.

And if anyone gives you hassle about Viking support, you can tell them that you were actually rooting for LSU!

In my line of work, the environment is considered a "teacher." Looks like your "teacher" was really speaking to you!

It's beautiful! And 'Vikings' didn't occur to me, even though first husband was a huge Vikings fan...

"slightly insane participatory project, at Rhinebeck" ??! I'm clinging to the end of my seat.

The shawlette is gorgeous!

So pretty! I'm a native Minnesotan, and I can tell you that it would be the most elegant and subtle item at a Vikings game! I wouldn't worry about it.

Can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve for Rhinebeck

It is faded purple, not unlike the Vikings this season. :-) But much lovelier.
