postcards

added Thursday: hey, hello to anyone popping over from Mason Dixon, welcome! I'm a little low on the animal husbandry coverage today, and wow, not much yarn to see either (at a wool festival?! ) but do pop by again. Now that the cone of silence has been raised a crack, I am preparing my tell-all memoir "Last Summer with Ann & Kay".
Hint: It'll be like Girls Gone Wild. Except we kept our shirts on, and there was more knitting.

There're plenty of blogs reviewing luscious MS&W yarn purchases. Me? One skein and a tank top. But that doesn't mean I don't have something to show from the weekend.

The main walkway mid day on Saturday. Oh Caaaaarole, where are you?

Maybe at lunch? What do you think the goat chili is also known as that I can't read? I stuck with the strawberry lemonade for nutrition, myself.

I revisited whether a sheep with the right look could pass as a dog to my neighbors.

The most unusual Shear Spirit tattoo app of the day: meet Flo and her ta-ta!

Here's Nanney Kennedy and some of her Seacolors yarn. Want biceps like that? Go wrestle some sheep.

Signing books at three booths, meeting blog friends and people who've read the book, handing out tatts and blabbing away with knitters was so.much.fun. Even with laryngitis. (I promise I don't really sound like that)
I'm going to make a gallery of some of the other tattoos in action over at the bookblog, hop on over, maybe by late Tuesday .

I'm pretty sure the sign says "Chili au chevre." hich sounds awfully high-falutin' for goat chili.

Love the picture of the Midway...no wonder it felt crowded to me. And that's a great picture of Nanney.

That sheep had dreads -- cute. But yowza - that's a big crowd!

The Tattoo Gallery is the BEST IDEA EVER! Although nobody is going to look fiercer than Nanney. How photogenic can a person get?

Gale, I was so thrilled to get to meet you at the festival on Sunday! I wish I'd had the presence of mind to buy and have you sign a book for me (I was a bit shellshocked after Saturday -- what a great crowd picture you got!)

Just saw the news at Mason Dixon that you shot the photos for Ann and Kay's book #2. I'll repeat myself: wow. Can't wait to see your photos!

Holy cow! I had almost forgotten the CROWDS at MD. Yes, I think it says Chili A La Chevre, or au chevre. Not so sure I would have tried it, either. :)

I agree the sign says "chevre" (goat milk cheese) but I think the guy meant "chevon" (goat meat).

My 16yo daughter Mary has had a sheep collection (of course) since she was a baby. She has already convinced herself (and me sorta) that she could easily convince the neighbors that a Southdown Babydoll sheep was a small rare sheepdog breed that just happened to need shearing every spring. She is still working to convince her Dad!

Gale, you sneaky little thing, you never mentioned you were working with Ann and Kay too!

For those of you who haven't bought Gale's book, please do so, you won't be sorry on any level.

I love her photography!!

Happy to have been sent your way by Mason-Dixon. Lovely shots - I am especially taken by the shot of the shepherdess' bicep.
