Is this an old abandoned factory or something much more arty and glamorous?
The scarf I was wearing today at SnB is the kombu scarf: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/kombu . I remember it was a fun pattern to knit, although one would have to be crazy to make it out of self-striping yarn like some people.
Looks like a quilt to me!
